Background
Laxey Partners Limited are a globally active value investor, based in London.
Laxey’s objective was to attract high net worth international investors that would be interested in purchasing the majority of the buildings that form London’s Chinatown estate. The famous network of Chinese & East Asian restaurants and shops nestled in the heart of the West End, close to Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar and Westminster Squares and London’s renowned theatre district. The area is one of London’s biggest international attractions and as such it was important to represent it appropriately.
Challenge
Neue Media were invited to develop a high-quality, impactful Report that would not only outline the key portfolio statistics which were to be presented in China the following week, but would properly represent the vibrancy and cultural significance of this unique property portfolio. Due to the international nature of the investors Laxey wanted to attract it was important that the report was designed in a format that would translate well into both Chinese and English, and that would showcase both strong headlines and powerful imagery.
Solution
Our collaborative approach ensured that we were able to work closely with Laxey Partners and major stakeholders London Architects throughout the project, ensuring that the Report was designed to capture the buzz and excitement that is Chinatown, and showcase the Chinese culture, business, media and heritage represented by this fabulous London landmark. The approach was both distinctive in the treatment of the design itself and in the innovative thinking we employed ensure the reader was engaged throughout.
We decided, that in order to produce a high-quality, digitally finished Report within the tight deadlines given by Laxey, we would use our bespoke print-on-demand service, the benefit being that we could ensure high-quality while still meeting our client’s presentation deadlines in China the following week.
The end result has been a beautiful Report that was able to communicate the values Laxey wanted to impart to their potential investors – commitment, professionalism. A no-nonsense manifesto for property development in Chinatown.
